Adam’s work spans dozens of countries and a wide variety of subject matter, often bridging the gap between popular culture and pressing global issues.

His first film, “Shake the Dust,” a collaboration with rap superstar Nas, documents the lives and skills of breakdancing street kids from Yemen, Colombia, Uganda, and Cambodia. Adam used this project as a platform and training ground for what would become a lifelong pursuit: ethical storytelling.

“I Am Sun Mu,” his second feature film, was an indy festival and media hit. It follows a North Korean dissident-turned-artist as he prepares for a harrowing art exhibition in China under the watchful shadow of the Chinese and North Korean governments.

In 2019 he produced a five-part short film series for Spotify about rapper 21 Savage titled “Monster” and in 2021 he was co-writer, co-producer and lead editor on the global podcast hit titled “The Messenger,” produced by Awfully Nice in collaboration with J. Cole’s Dreamville Studios.

Adam’s commercial directing and editing work have taken him to more than fifty countries and include clients like Mini Cooper, Warby Parker, Spotify, Starbucks, Bank of America, Belvedeer, Comcast, Habitat for Humanity, (RED), and BOSE.

His first narrative feature film, “The Falconer,” is a stranger-than-fiction story Adam discovered in Yemen in 2011, co-directed with Seanne Winslow. The film won dozens of awards including seven Best Narrative Feature, two Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography. “Songs of a Lost Island,” his forthcoming feature film, is filled with jaw-dropping footage shot over ten years traveling to American Samoa with NFL Pro Hall-of-famer Troy Polamalu.

He is based in Lisbon, Portugal.
